Remember those good old days when you used to go out with friends and come across a photo-booth placed in the middle of a mall, or in that railway station? Well, you don’t really get to see a lot of those now. However, CamWow is an application that brings the
whole idea and concept to your tiny little screens of your iPad, iPhones and iPod Touch.
As the title of the article sums it up, CamWow allows users to try out and apply free photo booth effects right from the comforts of their iOS devices. One of the greatest things about the application is the fact that the applied effects are “LIVE” which means as you click on the effects, you can see how your final result will look like. A great thing as you can experiment and choose the one you like the most.
The whole app was developed in an attempt to bring the effects and filters of “Photo Booth” to your iOS devices. Photo Booth is an application for Mac that uses the iSIght camera to bring the whole photo-booth concept to your computers. These are, however, more like digital photo-booths.
Using the application is pretty fun and simple. All you need to do is install the application from the iTunes App Store and fire it up. Depending on your iOS device, you can use both the front-facing and the back-facing camera.
You will see four slots, and many pages. These four slots represent four different effects. Click on any one of them to see it work its magic. Once you capture the image, it will be saved in the app’s gallery. You can both save and share the image from the location.
While this application beats out many other hundreds of other applications available in the iTunes App Store that perform the same task – they lack the quantity of filters and effects. However, the free version of CamWow plasters a wastermark in the final image.
